Ottenby Bird Observatory was founded in 1946. Well over one million birds have been ringed and all data is computerized and can be provided on request. We have a long tradition of providing professional and amateur researchers with both data and fieldwork services, including participation in migration and telemetry studies, or collecting samples for genetical or disease purposes. The observatory can provide accomodation for visiting scientists that want to conduct fieldwork in the area.
As a non-profit organisation, Ottenby Bird Observatory is relient on external funds for long-term survival. If you want to conduct a study at Ottenby, or use already collected data, we will charge a modest fee. The size of this fee will be negotiated on a case by case approach.
Please fill in the web form below and you will be contacted by a representative from the observatory shortly.
